Here are the official biannual Farm System rankings. 4 teams will be listed every day, beginning with #32. There will be a short description of the system, along with an overall grade and a movement up or down from where that team was in season 11.
#1 -- Detroit Tigers -- A (S-11 = 7th) WE'VE MADE IT. Tigers farm is littered with S potential players everywhere. Same strategy that led them to two straight WS wins. Kelenic and Manueta are leading the charge #2 -- Miami Marlins -- A (S-11 = 17th) Rios and Newell possible top 10 prospects, Cavaco, Chang, Ynfante look great as well #3 -- Texas Rangers -- A- (S-11 = 21st) Micheles an elite SP, Clemons a potential Silver Slugger at 2B, Oviedo an elite walk rate, a lot to like #4 -- New York Mets -- B+ (S-11 = 3rd) Willems and Hollins are going to be great, Cavalli and elite RP #5 -- Baltimore Orioles -- B+ (S-11 = 5th) Anundueza, Blair, Fitch, Williamson....so much to like, need a high end SP (just like everyone else) #6 -- Chicago White Sox -- B (S-11 = 13th) Surprised to see them this high, but all prospects are quality. None elite though #7 -- Cleveland Indians -- B (S-11 = 14th) Fenter, Brewer, Bechtold all top 30 prospects and will have an impact on big league team #8 -- Kansas City -- B (S-11 = 20th) Farm has a ton of potential, Hiura looks to be special, Rajcic also notable #9 -- Washington Nationals -- B- (S-11 = 11th) Matias and Strumpf will both have an impact soon, as well as Priester. 3 quality major league players not easy to do #10 -- Chicago Cubs -- B- (S-11 = 27th) New GM has done great work building up this farm, depth everywhere #11 -- Oakland Athletics -- C+ (S-11 = 1st) Cruz is the top overall prospect in the league, and Sears has ++power #12 -- New York Yankees -- C+ (S-11 = 4th) Top prospect Morrison looks to be special, and Stephenson is catcher of the future #13 -- San Diego Padres -- C+ (S-11 = 2nd) Padres have a lot of depth, but no real standouts. Nothing spectacular other than some leftovers from their #2 ranked system 2 seasons ago #14 -- San Francisco Giants -- C+ (S-11 = 29th) Just like MIN, SF has jumped up in the rankings. Hauver has ++ power, Peralta, Wright, and Leverett all look like solid rotation pieces #15 -- Minnesota Twins -- C+ (S-11 = 30th) Miranda will be a solid player for somebody, Reyes looks like a future #3 SP. A few guys to like here, just needs some more depth #16 -- Philadelphia Phillies -- C+ (S-11 = 12th) PHI has gone heavy on pitching prospects with some fire power arms in the draft recently. All of them are still a few years away before we will know how they turn out #17 -- Quebec Capitales -- C+ (S-11 = 6th) Similar to ARI, not much, but Getz is a future ace and thats why QUE is so high. Acton also looks to have a good future #18 -- Arizona Diamondbacks -- C+ (S-11 = 8th) Not a lot of depth here, but Brickhouse is a future superstar, Bradley has progressed nicely, and a few other decent pieces. #19 -- Port-au-Prince Liberators -- C+ (S-11 = 19th) This is where we start getting into the more quality systems. Lopez should be a good offensive player, and Espino a good pitcher. Decent system but could use more #20 -- Tampa Bay Rays -- C (S-11 = 10th) Rays have dropped as they've been going all out in recent years, but Savacool keeps this farm system afloat, along with some depth players too #21 -- Houston Astros -- C- (S-11 = 22nd) Only have one prospect, but he is a future ace #22 -- Toronto Blue Jays -- C- (S-11 = 18th) Albert looks to be a future everyday player, and a few lottery ticket SPs #23 -- Cincinnati Reds -- C- (S-11 = 23rd) A few bright spots here, specifically SP Sherrod and 1B Almanzar, but overall needs some more depth #24 -- St. Louis Cardinals -- C- (S-11 = 24th) Collins being groomed as C of the future, great arm; Litton, Soriano, Kelley could be decent in future #25 -- London Lions -- D+ (S-11 = 25th) Izturis looks like a solid player in the future, which is the only reason they are this high #26 -- Boston Red Sox -- D (S-11 = 28th) A few lottery ticket young SPs, but not much to like here #27 -- Los Angeles Angels -- D- (S-11 = 15th) Safe to say LAA's focus is on the WS, not farm system right now #28 -- Pittsburgh Pirates -- F (S-11 = 26th) One prospect, a RP without much promise. ML team is competitive though #29 -- Colorado Rockies -- F (S-11 = 32nd) Only here because they technically have one prospect, a RP who will go nowhere #30 -- Osaka Buffaloes -- F (S-11 = 9th) No prospects, team in contention #31 -- Seattle Mariners -- F (S-11 = 16th) No prospects. GM changes and at the start of a rebuild #32 -- Los Angeles Dodgers -- F (S-11 = 31st) Not a single prospect, impressive
